5/29/2023 0 Comments Makehuman to mmd![]() Many have had their subsurf applied, are triangulated, and in strange pieces. What's available in most of those files has very inefficient vert counts. MMD has some nice results, but I would caution against using them directly for several reasons:ฤก: Their topology is junk. I've been using MMD models as references for a long time. The good news is that since Blender 2.7x, a 'wig rig' can be parented to the body rig easily enough, if you know where to look for it in the menu system. I've been telling people that complex hairstyles will require their own rig your research basically proves it. The design approach will be: begin at anime move on to photo realism by texture, bump and normal maps. I'm going to overhaul my wigs to match the MMD standard. The formats are PMD/PMX for models, and VMD for motion. A lot of MMD hair has its own skeleton, and is posable.
